Privacy and data

Which data we collect, who sees it, what the companion does with telemetry files and how to delete everything.

What this chapter is#

It is not the legal notice — that is the Privacy Policy, and that is what governs. This chapter explains how it works in practice: what leaves your computer, who sees what, and which switches are in your hands.

The data we collect#

To run the service we need:

  • your email address and driver name;
  • the data you enter in your profile yourself: iRating, Safety Rating, licence, iRacing customer ID, preferred cars, lap times, availability for events;
  • with Discord sign-in, your Discord username and avatar;
  • with the companion, the simulator connection status and telemetry data.

If you enable the alert phone call we also store your phone number, visible only to you: it is used solely to call you when you have not confirmed before your stint.

The data is used only to run the platform. It is never sold or shared with third parties.

It is hosted on Supabase, EU region (Ireland).

What the companion does with iRacing's files#

This is the part that deserves the most space, because it concerns files that live on your computer. That is why the app explains it before offering you the installer and asks for an explicit tick.

It reads the files already there#

iRacing writes .ibt telemetry files into Documents\iRacing\telemetry. The companion reads the ones that are already there, including ones recorded before EndurancePRO existed.

From them it recovers the real racing lines: in live telemetry iRacing zeroes the coordinates, in the files it does not.

It can turn on disk recording#

If recording is off, the companion turns it on for you: it changes two entries in iRacing's app.ini — irsdkEnableDisk and irsdkAutoLogDisk — with the simulator closed. From then on every session leaves a file.

You can go back whenever you like: the companion switches recording off and iRacing is as it was. Without it, the racing-line map stays an estimate.

The files never leave your PC#

You decide about cleaning#

iRacing never cleans that folder and it grows by gigabytes. From the companion you see how large it is and clean it yourself, choosing how many months back, or session by session.

Who sees what#

Inside your team#

Your name, avatar and racing statistics are visible to the other members of your teams.

Telemetry, setups, liveries and the pit wall are governed by the badge: admins decide, for each level, what is visible. And every driver always sees their own data, whatever badge they hold.

On the team's public page#

If a team turns on its public page, the names and statistics of its members become visible to registered users. It is the team's choice, and it can be turned off.

The records board#

You opt in. Until you decide to, your times do not appear. Joining shows time, car, track, date and name: never the setup, never the telemetry. You can leave whenever you like.

The broadcast portrait#

The image and helmet the gallery shows when you are on air require explicit consent, and can be revoked whenever you like.

Sharing a session#

Outside official races, letting your teammates watch your running session is your choice, one button at a time — or, if you prefer, always on when iRacing opens. No permanent history is kept.

Pit wall and debrief links are created by you, show read-only, and you can revoke them whenever you like. The panel says how many times they have been opened.

The calendar address#

It is personal: whoever has it sees your races. 🔄 Regenerate address invalidates the old one.

What we do NOT do#

  • We do not sell or share data with third parties.
  • We do not upload your .ibt files.
  • We do not publish your setups: they belong to whoever built them, and the permission is separate from the one for liveries.
  • We do not infer check-in from the simulator: you give it by hand. The PC can stay in a session while you sleep, and a plan that trusts that wakes nobody.
  • We do not treat the text you write to support as an instruction to execute: it is material to understand.

Your account#

Deleting it#

You can ask at any time for your account and its data to be changed or deleted, by writing to the address given in the Privacy Policy.

Leaving a team#

Leave team takes you off the roster. What you shared with that team — files, laps recorded during its races — stays with the team: it is not only yours, it is a squad's work.

Deleting a team#

An owner can delete a team with all its data, with an explicit confirmation.
